clover underfoot
soft and gentle between toes

My son (daughter): May you come to value and cherish discomfort, being stronger when others expect you to slacken and complain. What God gives is often uncomfortable, but you grow in the uncomfortable miles and uncomfortable weight not the easy and familiar. As the old saying goes, smooth seas never made skilled sailors. May you grow strong and not rely on the stable insulation of selfish control over your potential and talents.
